Research & study design
Build the methodological foundation before data collection begins.
- Power analysis & sampling
- RCT and quasi-experimental design
- Grant methods development
STATISTICAL CLARITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DECISIONS
I help researchers, funders, and mission-driven teams design stronger studies, choose the right methods, and translate evidence into action—without losing rigor along the way.

EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING WORK WITH
THE VALUE OF A METHODOLOGIST
Good analysis is more than sophisticated software. It begins with a precise question, a study designed to answer it, and methods that match the structure of the evidence.
I join projects at any stage—from an early grant concept to a difficult dataset—and make the statistical reasoning clear, practical, and review-ready.
HOW I CAN HELP
Focused support or end-to-end methodological partnership, calibrated to your team and decision.
Build the methodological foundation before data collection begins.
Fit the model to the question and the real structure of the data.
Develop measures and evidence that can withstand scrutiny.
Connect analysis to program decisions, policy, and clear reporting.
SELECTED ENGAGEMENTS
Designed and analyzed a multi-site randomized trial examining a belonging intervention for women and students from underrepresented groups.
Supported longitudinal analysis for a national quality-improvement program, contributing to peer-reviewed findings and decision-ready evidence.
Analyzed mindset and academic-support interventions across multiple states, translating complex findings for researchers and program leaders.
AI + STATISTICS
AI can accelerate research and operations—but only if quality is defined, measured, and monitored. I help teams build evaluation strategies that go beyond impressive demos.
Evaluation designDefine meaningful benchmarks, comparison conditions, and uncertainty.
Quality measurementTurn subjective concepts into reliable human and automated metrics.
Reproducible workflowsBuild auditable analysis and reporting pipelines with R, Python, and modern AI tools.
ABOUT NEDIM
I earned my PhD in Measurement, Statistics, and Methodological Studies from Arizona State University. For more than 15 years, I have partnered with teams across education, psychology, healthcare, law, and technology.
Today I lead Data Analysis & Statistical Solutions, teach graduate research methods and statistics at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and advise early-stage AI teams on evaluation and measurement.
